The accounts provide statistics such as GDP which evaluate the overall peformance of national and regional economies. Satellite Accounts represent close up views of particular aspects of the United States' national and regional economies which enable in depth analyses. The Marine Economy Satellite Account focuses on ocean and coastal activities, providing additional data including value added, compensation, gross output, and employment. The Marine Economy Satellite Account tracks over sixty sectors and seventy industries related to ocean activities.
